If you skip this step, there may be long-term problems arise after placing your tooth gems. Bacteria and plaque can accumulate at the spot where you place the gem, which can lead to dental problems and can ensure that your jewelry premature detaches. So make sure that your teeth maximum clean is!

Attention!
The lifespan of your tooth gems depends almost entirely on proper application and aftercare by you as the user. A incorrect or inefficient placement and the not following the manual can ensure that the stones early release. This happens in 99% of cases due to user errors and not by a defective product. It is therefore essential to methodical en accurate to work. Due to this dependence on the user, we unfortunately cannot offer a guarantee on the lifespan of the tooth gems and cannot process complaints related to this.

VORWERK

Open the packaging and lay all the parts neatly on a clean surface. Make sure you have at least 15 minutes to use this kit. The more rushed you are, the greater the chance that it won't go well. So take your time! Don't forget to have a small cup of water ready next to you.

Begin by placing the cheek retractor (if it fits well) in your mouth to expose your teeth. This keeps your teeth dry while placing the tooth gems. Alternatively, or in combination, you can also use the included cotton rolls. Take one of the cotton rolls and place it between your tooth and your lip to keep the lip away from the tooth.

If your lip still touches the tooth, use more pieces of cotton to keep your lip further away from the tooth. If necessary, place another cotton roll between the upper and lower teeth and bite down on it.

PLACEMENT TOOTH JEWEL (USE A MIRROR!)

Step 1: Dip a supply burner into the container with "STEP 1 ETCH"(etching agent). Rub the etching agent over the tooth surface where you want to place the tooth jewel for about 30 seconds. This prepares the tooth for the adhesive."

Then take a cotton roll, moisten one end, and wipe the etching agent completely off the tooth. Make sure no etching agent is left behind. Then thoroughly dry the tooth with the dry end of the cotton roll. It is important that the tooth is completely dry before proceeding to step 2.

Step 2: Use a new applicatornot the same as in step 1) and dip this in the container with "STEP 2 BOND"(adhesive). Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the tooth, exactly where you want to place the tooth jewel. Make sure that the glue surface is not much larger than the size of the tooth jewel, to ensure a precise bond. Go directly to step 3 and 4.

Step 3: Use the white wax pencil (jewel picker) to pick up the dental jewel and place it in the center of the applied adhesive. You can slightly adjust the position of the dental jewel with the applicator stick or the wax pencil. Gently press the jewel against the tooth.

Step 4: If the placement is to your liking, take the UV light and start curing the glue. Shine the UV light directly on the tooth jewel and make sure the entire tooth surface is covered. Hold the light 60 to 120 seconds (the longer, the stronger the bond) aimed at the tooth for a strong bond. Make sure that no saliva or moisture comes into contact with the tooth during this process. Once you are done, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water to remove any residues of the etching agent or adhesive. The tooth jewel is now successfully placed!

  • Avoid applying too much pressure on the gum tissue while brushing your teeth. Especially when using an electric toothbrush, you should be more careful and brush with light pressure to prevent the outer layer of the gum tissue from detaching.

FAQ/ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ARE THEY PERMANENT?
No, tooth gems are temporary and will fall out on their own after a while. Depending on how well you have applied it and maintain your teeth, the lifespan can vary from 3 weeks to even 12 months.

IS IT REMOVABLE?
Yes, your dentist can safely remove the tooth jewel for you. We advise against removing the tooth jewel yourself, as this may cause damage to your teeth.

MY TOOTH JEWELS HAVE FALLEN OFF, BUT THERE IS STILL A GRAY UNDERLAY ON MY TEETH, WHAT NOW?
If there is still a gray underlayer visible on your teeth, this indicates that an excessive amount of glue may have been applied around the tooth jewel, instead of just the amount that corresponds to the size of the jewel. It may also mean that the UV lamp was used for too long; we recommend a maximum exposure time of 120 seconds. These conditions can cause the underlayer to be bonded too firmly, resulting in it adhering more strongly to the tooth than the jewel to the underlayer.

Brushing too hard with a toothbrush or using an electric toothbrush can also cause this. We recommend brushing slowly near the dental jewel and likewise with an electric toothbrush on the lowest setting. So be very careful while brushing; too much force can cause the stone part of the underlying layer to be pulled away.

If you want to remove the base layer, we strongly recommend having it done by your dentist to prevent damage to your tooth enamel. The dentist can also professionally polish away the excess glue. If you choose to do this yourself at your own risk, you can try to carefully use a sharp object, such as a needle or toothpick, to scrape away the base layer. However, we advise you to proceed with extreme caution to avoid injury or damage to your teeth. Please note that even small mistakes while scraping can lead to permanent damage to your teeth. It is always better to be cautious and seek professional advice.

This product is not suitable for babies and small children. For teenagers, we recommend using the product together with a parent or guardian.

CAN I PLACE A TOOTH JEWEL ON VENEERS?
Unfortunately, the adhesive will only bond to natural teeth. The Tooth Gem Kit is not suitable for artificial teeth such as crowns, bridges, and/or veneers. This is because they have a different structure than natural teeth. The special glue does not adhere well to these teeth.

WILL THE TOOTH JEWEL DAMAGE MY TOOTH?
No! The tooth jewel will attach to the enamel, like an orthodontic brace, without any form of drilling or pain.

I AM PREGNANT, CAN I USE THE TOOTH GEM KIT?
No, we absolutely advise against this during a pregnancy. Before or after a pregnancy is of course not a problem.
